Insights from Democratic Convention August 25, 2008

What a morning! It’s a little after 11 a.m. and I am here in the Denver Airport getting ready to fly back to Minneapolis.  I just pulled out my laptop and logged onto www.notready08.com, caught some of the live streaming video from our location in Denver, and watched a group of disgruntled Democrats speak on why they are now backing John McCain.  What a sight!  These are just a handful of the thousands of voters around the country who have concerns that Barack Obama is just not ready to be President of our country and they see that John McCain has the right answers to lead the American people.

Earlier today, yes much earlier at 4am, I was up heading toward the Pepsi Center for multiple interviews such as Fox & Friends and MSNBC.  While there I noticed two things – disorganization and disunity.  Disorganization abundant – even the media were have problems just getting onto their sets.  While in the city, I took time to hear conversations of the convention goers and I found one central theme – disunity.  There are actually two conventions taking place in Denver – one for Barack Obama and one for Hillary Clinton.  One thing is certain, Clinton supporters are still avidly campaigning that she have a spot on the ticket.  Seeing this reminds me of just how important unity is.  The Democrats were divided in 1980 and they lost.  In 2008, the Republicans are unified behind John McCain and WE WILL WIN!

I am disappointed by the way the Campaign is helping Mccain. I am a Republican but I like the Obama’s recent TV ad where he did not attack anyone but lay out all his agenda. Why didn’t you help Mccain do a similar but more effective ad?? Mccain is losing in the polls. Please do something, something smart, not stupid.

Thanks.
