Call to Action – 3 Days From Victory! November 1, 2008

Good afternoon.  We are now three days away.  This morning I was back in my hometown of Inez, Kentucky to walk door-to-door and make phone calls to the voters in the Upper Inez Precinct of Martin County where I am still the precinct captain.  All politics are on the local level – working with voters one to one.

I would like to share with you a quote by Abraham Lincoln that I think about almost everyday.  This is what he had to say regarding one election:

“Organize the whole state, so that every Whig can be brought to the polls . . . divide (the) county into small districts, and . . . .appoint in each a sub-committee, . . . make a perfect list of all the voters and . . . ascertain with certainty for whom they will vote, . . . keep a constant watch on the doubtful voters, and . . . have them talked to by those in whom they have the most confidence, . . . and on election days see that every Whig is brought to the polls.”

Please take his advice to heart . . . and as a call to action.  Please reach out to your neighbors.  Make phone calls.  Knock on doors.  Encourage your friends and family to contribute their time and, if possible, their resources to the Party.  Most of all, please get out and vote.

Let’s surge to victory for our Party; for our principles; and for John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Thank you.

1. Nuclear Football???-we could lose!!!!!!!!! - November 3, 2008

Dear Chairman Duncan: I like your add about Obama not running anything and still we may turn over the keys to our country to him. I also saw a show on CNN this weekend where you could even create a much harder hitting ad. On CNN they had a segment about the transition into/out of the whitehouse and one of those involved was the person who transitioned Ronald Reagan out at his last term. He said that Ronald Reagan with 20 minutes until 12 noon on 4 Nov.1988 wanted to give this man his nuclear card? and they told him ‘no-you’re still the president until you leave.’ On November 4 2008 this country has to decide wheather to give our nuclear capability to a totally inexperienced anti-military first term Senator with only 147 days in the Senate and absolutely no military experience or to a man who has been in our Senate for 4 terms respects and cares for military and bled for this country in combat!! How can this country forget what is at stake while we are engaged in two wars and Obama has shown his absolute ignorance for our military????????
Thank you and I’m praying for and my wife and our son are voting for John McCain to win Tuesday!!
